Originally a Hotelier, Bill Taylor embarked on a journey to source great wines for his guests. This led to the Taylor family establishing the Clare Valley winery in 1969, with a vision to craft wines the could rival the world’s best.
The Hotelier Pinot Gris
This fresh, well balanced Pinot Gris, with subtle notes of pear and a hint of tropical fruit is sure to please any guest. Crafted in the French style of the varietal, has layers of flavour across the palate. At its core is ripe pear with a hint of tropical fruit and fresh strawberries. The palate is both soft and elegant; the textural elements well balanced with fruit crispness. The overall nature of the wine lends itself to a myriad of food pairings.
At release the wine is a pale straw with a hint of salmon pink and has enticing aromas of ripe pear, baked apple along with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon spice.
